NuVasive announced its launch of the Cohere TLIF-O implant and its upcoming launch of the Cohere TLIF-A implant, both additions to the company’s Advanced Materials Science portfolio, according to a press release.

Cohere TLIF-O is a porous polyetheretherketone implant used for transforaminal lumbar interbody fusion (TLIF) procedures. It follows the principles of the other devices in the Advanced Materials Science line, with lordosis in the oblique plane and porous surface technology, the composition of which allows clear radiographic imaging with different modalities.

The Cohere TLIF-A is scheduled to launch in the fourth quarter. It is similar to Cohere TLFI-O clinically but is designed for anterior column support, according to the release.

"NuVasive is focused on providing a comprehensive spine offering across all procedural segments to address some of the most challenging aspects of spine surgery. Porous PEEK is a clear differentiator for us in the market, and the launch of Cohere TLIF-O and future addition of Cohere TLIF-A furthers our commitment to this one-of-a-kind technology," Massimo Calafiore, chief commercial officer of NuVasive, said in the release. "The company has a uniquely differentiated TLIF portfolio to support the most widely used posterior spine procedure and we will continue to invest in outcome-driven innovation that drives the greatest impact for our surgeons, providers and patients."
